VISITORS

This week we got some visitors. Derek's parents and two younger brothers came to visit us for their spring break. We loved having them! Monday night we went to Costco to stock up on some goods, then to dinner at a thai restaurant. Highlight of the day...Neil driving over a curb and some rebar sticking up. It sounded like the van they rented was going to just fall apart into pieces. It never drove or sounded the same after. Tuesday we left for Corpus Cristi, a little town on the coast. It was windy but fun. We saw some sights, ate some good food, and slept in great beds at the hotel. Highlight of the day...the beef jerky we found at a shop on the way to the coast. I don't even like jerky, I abhor it, it disgusts me, but not this jerky, it was delicious! I could have eaten all the jerky in the store. Mmmm jerky breath. Wednesday we went to see the retired USS Lexington battleship. It was huge and very interesting. We shopped around and ate some very greasy food. Then we drove back to Houston. Highlight of the day...the birds eating crackers right out of our hands AND blizzards at DQ. Hot eats, cool treats! Thursday we grilled and and watched the BYU game. They lost. Then we watched the JAZZ game. They lost too. I really hate the Lakers! Highlights of the day...the guacamole Derek make...okay and the girl scout cookies. Then today we went to lunch at the Cheesecake factory, walked around the Galeria Mall and area a bit, then headed home so D's fam could get their stuff packed up and get ready to go. It was sooooooo great to have all of them here. They are so good to us, too good to us. I really lucked out marrying into the Harper family. They were definitely the highlight of the week. Love you guys!!!!
Neil and Laura got better pictures but we didn't have time to download them before they left. These will have to due for now.

Sweet Shark! Hope the restaurant friday night was good. The lexington is awesome. Did you watch the imax show in it? I actually interviewed a guy here at the radiation oncology clinic who was on it during the war. Next time we're in Corpus, you guys will have to come visit and we'll take you fishing and out on the wave runners.
