I haven't blogged in a while. Nothing really exciting has been going on, but there is some fun to come. Finally August is here and we get to go home for the fist time since Christmas. We leave the 6th and Derek comes home the 18th, then I come back on the 27th. We are soooooooo excited!!!
On September 3rd I have my big ultra sound...the one when you find out if you're having a boy or a girl. The problem is I still can't decide if I want to know. I have planned on it being a surprise for years, but decided recently that with the first one it may be more logical to find out. Everyone complains they won't know what to buy or in what color or whatever. I would like to be prepared, but in my heart I still want that fun surprise at the end. I guess I have a month to decide.
Oh I almost forgot to mention I had another appointment with my midwife on Thursday. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was crazy! It seems so weird that there is an actual baby in there!

That's so exciting about your baby! I think Derek sent around a text or something of your baby's heartbeat--I'll have to hear it this week. I can't wait for Wednesday! See you in two days :D
